Md Shamsul Arefin joins the team working on wear sensors

Md Shamsul Arefin received his B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2007. He subsequently completed a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering at Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ, USA, in 2010, and a PhD degree in Electronic Engineering at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia in 2017.

Shamsul was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering at Monash University until February 2018. He recently joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Deakin University as Postdoctoral Research Fellow. In his new role, Shamsul will assist the mineAlloy team in the development of wear sensing devices.

His research interests include low power MEMS sensor interface, mixed signal integrated circuit design, RF electronics, embedded systems, energy harvesting and and Internet of Things applications.
